Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. She grew up listening to the old and classical boleros as well traditional ranchero, romantic and ballads of romance. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Ana started to learn how to sing and play the piano as a child alongside her mother. The formal vocal instruction in the year she turned 16 old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. In 2000, she emigrated into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist performing the traditional Latin American music at private performances. She has been involved in many local projects, both as performer and teacher, because of her love for music and arts. Ana was also an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her passion and love for classic Latin American songs with others as she hopes to spread the desire, especially among younger generations for keeping this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
